What to Do After Resubmission
After resubmitting your sitemap, monitor the Sitemaps report daily for the first week. Confirm the "Last read" timestamp updates, check that the submitted count matches what you expect, and watch for new error messages appearing. For individual priority pages, use URL Inspection to request indexing directly — this bypasses the normal sitemap re-read schedule and gets those specific URLs into the crawl queue faster. Cross-reference any newly appearing Coverage errors with recent site changes to isolate the cause.
